Help me find this movie title?

Here's what I remember!

An inventor developed a set of goggles that the military was using.  Then the military started to see 'anomalies' in the viewers and called the inventor to the area.  He then fought with them against these man-made beings that were being generated at some power plant in like Bulgaria or something.  

Recent movie, last two years (2015/2016) I'd guess.
