To bad it's developed by SEGA, which means it's going to suck.  Every single Aliens game that has been developed by SEGA is buggy, broken, mechanics don't work, and just plain sucks.  I had hopes for Aliens: Colonial Marines, and that's one of the worst games I've ever played.

They need to give a different developer the work, and leave SEGA to 2D Sonic titles.  I'll pick this up of course because it looks like an actual horror game this time, but I'm 99% sure it will be bad.

I really like the idea of bringing Ripley's daughter into it for some reason.

Its gonna bomb like the rest of them. Face it game developers hate Alien fans sooooo much that they know how to bate 'n switch easily. One main reason is they know you'll buy it for being a fanboy even though it'll suck.

Looks spectacular! I'll risk getting my hopes up for this one! It's Ridleyverse again- come on guys!

I have a feeling that this will be based or connected to the upcoming novels.

To me, it makes alot of sense, that Amanda, would want to find out what happened to her mother and want to go insearch for her.

Maybe, the company and Burke (from ALIENS) lied to Ripley about how her daughter died.

It will be interesting to find out!

There could be a possible interquel story to tell about Amanda Ripley searching for her mother in a film... maybe even tying into more of the Engineers and what 'Prometheus' has started.

I must admit it looks like it will do the job and be a proper survival horror and I'm loving the idea that Necronom said about the company lying about how Ripleys daughter died .

Looks like the trailer has Prometheus sound track...if its anything like dead space it'll be great - does look good but not sure yet...will rely on story I guess...

I dont see the need to base the franchise off Ripley though, what next a Alien 5 movie with Ripley in it playing a older version of her daughter?

I would also not be suprised that Shaw is linked to Ripley, and i think that could work if they show Sigourney in flash back scene with Shaw as a Child after her Father dies.

i.e Sigourney plays the woman who brings up Shaw after she is a orphan.

Thus have Sigourney as Shaws Mothers Sister, or Grandmother thus some connection.

Yes that could be a cameo for Sigourney in Paradise, but after that no more Sigourney in Alien movies or her family in Games, i think they could explore other people and not go route of  making Games that bring back characters who are supposed dead in Aliens.

i.e Hicks etc.

But then there is no harm for a Game which is in same universe but not to be direct Canon to Aliens etc.

My idea for alien 5

@Necronom I agree that they could easily tie this in with the new books/comics and what we've heard about Alien: Out of the Shadows.  If Amanda is alive, it may mean that the 57 years betweeen Alien and Aliens haven't passed yet.

In Out of The Shadows we find out Ripley has secretly been woken up during her long sleep, but might have had memories of this repressed...It's also revealed that Ash's consciousness is still alive. These are huge things that might not be able to be glossed over.

In the trailer for this they say "we think we found her", and we "need to close the book, Ripley".

 It'd be cool if Ridley and Cameron are secretly planning to film Alien 5 together...Or if Cameron and Ridley worked out a way to have moprhing cycle and Queens both exist, by adding Kings...

Androids had already become free by Alien Ressurrection, and gave up their grip over the company.. so Weyland's cosnsciousness was able to return.  FATHER had to obey and work with the Marines/Wal Mart at that time, but is still with Call and Ripley 8 as they arrive on Earth to witness the devestation Yutani and the Engineers have caused..

Rook (Android designed specifically for combat), Call, Ripley 8, Amanda, Shaw, FATHER/Weyland, and the free androids who join them, join Xerxes (who claims he's immortal) merge with Strikeforce to journey to the Alien homeworld following FATHER's flight plan to kill the Alien Empress, and temporarily force all the hives on Earth into a completely dormant state. Allowing the free android army on earth to conduct strikes against the sleeping Aliens. Call secretly stopped the Alien Empress's mind from making it to the hives on Earth. Call's free androids were androids created by other androids. Created by David.

My Alien 5 would be: Ripley 8, Rook, Shaw/Caryn (Caryn is Shaw 2, a clone given a completely diff identity), Call, Amanda, Xerxes (character who claimed he was immortal and kept returning in orginal Dark horse comics..) Hawk and FATHER join up to take the fight to the Alien homeworld once and for all. After Earth begins to be overrun when Shaw and Yutani accidentally brought some genetics back there, Ripley 8 determines that they must kill the Alien Empress to stop her hive mind from being active on Earth. Ripley 8 is now leading the Marines + what's left of the company, as well as an elite fighting squad called Strikeforce. Because her mind is somewhat linked to the Alien organism still. She knows exactly how to lead them. Call lends her a hand by asking for volunteers from the free androids who worship the cross, forms an android army for their attack on the Alien homeworld/Alien Empress.

David ended up creating Call's androids who worship the cross. They worship the cross because it became a symbol of choosing what to believe, freewill, rebellion, sacrifice, as well as freedom over time.  Shaw gave her specific cross to the first Androids born free.
