Ridley Scott films make Yahoo news again. ALIEN's Kane chestburster scene at number 1: Ridley Scott top 10 scenes

The poster was good though!

I'm glad they added "Thelma & Louise" in there, it's rarely mentioned for some reason.

Prometheus should have made the list.

Yes I could name a dozen Prometheus scenes worth mentioning. The guy is a monster! Sadly Hannibal would not make my list, I think its another good example of fantastic source material being vetoed by those who hold the purse strings. The book went places that others found uncomfortable, I believe that's why Jody Foster wouldn't get on board.

Yeah the Shaw caesarean scene should have made the list. IMO the best scene in Hannibal was the face peeling scene with Gary Oldman. They also left out Black Rain (great film!) the scene were Andy Garcia gets decapitated should have been in the list.

The opening scene from Prometheus will be included one day! No surprise that the Chest Burster made number 1, I'd put the Space Jockey on that list too.

1492: Conquest of Paradise had some breathtaking images, such as the Cathedral scene with the gigantic incense burner swinging back and forth, and the slow motion scene where Gerard steps off the boat into the shallow water, when Columbus first reaches the Americas!

You could choose just about any scene from BladeRunner, the entire movie is memorable for one reason or another! Well I guess it would have to be expanded, as there's simply too many to fit into a top 10!

Should have been a Top 20.. Ridley deserves that. I'm not sure if you can call this a scene but the entire urban environment created by Ridley in Blade Runner is stunning and prophetic. It has been emulated so much since. I must admit that I thought one of scences would have been the opening battle in Gladiator. So memorable. The Med Pod scene from Prometheus should definitely have been included also. When you look back over Ridley movies, he is always trying to do something new, fresh with real visual artistry. I wonder how much he is influenced by Kubrick?

Today I have been dedicated to post on as many topics as possible until I pass out from drinking too many beers.

1.Prometheus and the scene where David awakens the Engineer from cryo-sarcophagus and the scene where the SJ speaks. 2.Gladiator when Maximus fights Tigris of Gaul. 3.ALIEN with the famous spectacular scene where Kane sees the Space Jockey and that creepy/ancient sounding music. 4. 1492 Paradise Conquest when they meet Native Indians for the first time.

The Anunnaki were on the earth in those days--and also afterward--when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, mighty men of high reno

Whats very odd is that I didnt know that Ridley had a hand in directing Thelma and Louise. I never knew that and now it makes that old movie that much cooler.
